Sweet and Sour Pork
(serves 3 to 4)
1 lb boneless pork loin or tenderloin
(cut in ½ inch cubes)
2 Tbsp Taipan Oyster Sauce
½ cup Taipan Tempura Batter Mix
(prepared as per package instructions)
4 Tbsp vegetable oil
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 red or green pepper
(cut in bite-size pieces)
1-14 oz (400g) can pineapple chunks
¼ cup Taipan Sweet & Sour Sauce
1 Tbsp Taipan Roasted Sesame Seeds
Preparation: Marinate pork cubes in mixture of 2 Tbsp Taipan Oyster Sauce, 1 Tbsp water and pepper (to taste) for at least 30 minutes. Next, coat pork cubes in the Taipan Tempura Batter Mix batter.
Cooking: Heat oil and garlic on high heat in skillet or wok until they smoke. Add pork and stir fry 3-4 minutes or until cooked through (test by cutting a cube). Add red or green pepper, stir fry for about 1 minute. Drain pineapple and add with Taipan Sweet & Sour Sauce. Stir until all ingredients are hot. Serve on a bed of Taipan Long Grain Rice or Taipan Chow Mein Noodles. Sprinkle with Taipan Roasted Sesame Seeds.
