Beef Stir Fry
(serves 3 – 4)
3 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 lb sirloin beef steak (thinly sliced)
1 medium onion (thinly sliced)
3 slices fresh ginger (finely chopped)
1 garlic clove (crushed)
4 Tbsp Taipan Stir Fry Sauce
(or Taipan Oyster Sauce)
¼ tsp sugar
pepper - to taste
3 cups vegetables of choice (thinly sliced)
- carrots, celery, zucchini, bean spouts,
peppers, Taipan Whole Young Corn,
Taipan Water Chestnuts
salt – to taste
¼ cup water
7 oz Taipan Steam Fried Noodles
1 Tbsp Taipan Roasted Sesame Seeds
Preparation: Cut beef into thin strips and marinate for 10 minutes or more in a mixture of 2 Tbsp Taipan Stir Fry Sauce, 1 Tbsp water, ¼ tsp sugar and pepper to taste.
Cooking: Heat oil and garlic on high heat in skillet or wok until the oil smokes. Add the onions, ginger and beef and stir for about 3 minutes. Add the vegetables, salt and ¼ cup water and mix well. Cover and cook on high heat for 3 minutes (longer for softer vegetables). Next place Taipan Steam Fried Noodles on top. Cover and steam about 3 minutes or until noodles reach desired softness, adding more water if needed. Add 2 Tbsp Taipan Stir Fry Sauce. Mix well, sprinkle with Taipan Roasted Sesame Seeds and serve.
